F.A.Q.

Frequently Asked Questions:

Q:  When will you start Sunday morning services?
A:  Our public launch is set for Sunday, September 28th, but we will begin running what we call "Preview Services" on September 7th in order to work out all the kinks before launch.

Q:  Where will you hold services?
A:  At the Holiday Inn Express Conference Center.

Q:  What will you have for kids?
A:  Kidzworks has been a fantastic ministry for children at Central in Beloit for many years, and we will be continuing that high quality of ministry for the kids in Janesville.  At Central, Kidzworks isn't just something to keep the kids busy while the adults go to church.  It's a fun, interactive spiritual experience led by people who love kids and want to create an environment where every kid is valued and appreciated.  Over and over, kids are dragging their parents to church because they just can't miss a week at Kidzworks.

Q:  What should I wear to church?
A:  We're super casual. Whatever you'd wear to hang out with your friends is just fine. Most people wear jeans or shorts. We really don't care what you wear... we care that when you walk in, you feel immediately at ease.  Beginning with our greeters and continuing to everybody at Central, we hope to create a vibe that will make you want to come back.

Q:  What will services look like?
A:  Our live worship band will lead us in powerful songs that point our hearts to our Creator.  We also know that art is a window to the supernatural, so we see value in all kinds of art, as it points out truth about us, our world, and our God. Sermons will be mostly on video (preached in Beloit), but will semi-regularly feature live speakers, specifically our campus pastor, Erik Henry.

Q:  Isn't it weird to watch the sermon on a big screen? Why couldn't I just stay home and watch a TV preacher?
A:  Actually tens of thousands of people around the country go to a church like this every Sunday and love it.  We have a great opportunity to hear fantastic sermons on a weekly basis from somebody we know and love, while at the same time develop a church community close to home.  We will be one church in two locations, and hearing the same sermon will keep us on the same page.  We're confident that, once you've experience it, you'll have no problem with it, and you might even begin to appreciate it.

Q:  How do I get involved with the Launch Team?
A:  Give Erik a call or send him an email (from our Contact page), and he'll get you connected.  Our launch team is made up of people who are sold out to the vision of our church and are committed to doing whatever it takes to get it off the ground.  If that sounds like you, give us a call.
